Chapter 1368.
Rande City was located at the eastern end of the Western Continent, and to its north were vast plains with a river running through them.
To the west and south of this harbor city were rolling highlands, and the settlements outside the city were undoubtedly much more spacious compared to the increasingly crowded urban areas.
Scattered around the city of Rand were a large number of estates and farmhouses, as well as a number of country vacation homes.
Of these suburban houses that Lewis took out, the last set caught Luo Nan’s attention.
It was a small vacation villa, built on a sea-facing cliff fifteen kilometers away from the city, with beautiful surroundings, belonging to a true sea view house.
The most crucial thing was that its rent was quite cheap, completely within Luo Nan’s current affordability.
So he decisively picked out this information, “I want to take a look at this one.”
“Okay.”
Lewis instantly felt joy in his heart and hurriedly picked it up, “Then I’ll help you ……”
Before he could finish his words, his voice got stuck in his throat, its gaze falling on the information in his hand, his complexion becoming flustered.
Luo Nan was puzzled, “What’s the problem?”
Lewis came back to his senses and hurriedly took out a handkerchief to wipe the sweat seeping out of his forehead and smiled bitterly, “I’m sorry, sir, I accidentally misplaced the information of this set of houses and it’s no longer among the recommendations.”
“It was my mistake!”
Luo Nan frowned and said irritably, “I’m asking what’s wrong with you!”
Mr. Fixer’s heart shook, an inexplicable fear came over him, and the sweat he had just wiped away reappeared.
He felt that what was sitting across from him was not a young police officer, but a powerful and ferocious beast that wanted to devour people!
Strongly calming himself, Lewis swallowed his saliva and explained with fear and trepidation, “It’s like this, this house has been haunted ……”
This ocean view villa was constructed twenty years ago, and has changed owners three times up to now, with each owner not living in the house for long, and there were even people who died in the villa.
Its current owner was a grain merchant in the city of Rand, and ever since the villa was rumored to be haunted once again a few years ago it had been left vacant, and only recently had it been put up for rent.
However, it has been regularly maintained during the period of vacancy, and the villa wasn’t built very long ago, so it is currently in good condition.
It was fully decorated and furnished, so it was completely ready to move in!
“Actually, that gentleman wanted to sell it, but the problem was that he simply couldn’t afford the price.”
Lewis said, “So he’s planning to rent it first and sell it later.”
It was a good calculation!
Luo Nan pondered for a moment and asked, “Then how much does he want to sell?”
Rande City had very good conditions in every aspect, and was considered a big city in the Kingdom of Invia, Luo Nan intended to stay here for a few years to improve his strength before plotting for the Origin Power of this world.
This made it important to buy a suitable residence.
“Huh?”
Lewis obviously didn’t expect Luo Nan to actually intend to buy this house, and hesitated for a moment before replying, “The other party’s opening price is 350 gold pounds, and this price can still be negotiated.”
350 gold pounds?
This really wasn’t expensive!
Luo Nan knew very well that if he compared it to the villas in the uptown area, then the selling price of this seaview villa was not even a fraction of the former.
Of course there was a reason for it to be cheap, aside from the rumors of haunting and the bad luck of dead people, it was all of 15 kilometers away from the edge of the lower city, and the daily commute was bound to be time-consuming and laborious.
“Let’s do it this way.”
Ronan thought about it and said, “I’ll pay a year’s rent first, then gather three hundred gold pounds to buy it within a year, during which time he can’t resell it to anyone else, sign the contract if you agree!”
Lewis scratched his head, “Sir, then I have to ask that gentleman first, it will have to be tomorrow before I can give you an answer.”
He felt that the deal could work out.
Because Ronan had offered the equivalent of 315 gold pounds for the murderous house, which was only 35 pounds short of the 350 gold pounds demanded by the seller, the possibility of a deal was very high.
This set of sea view villa in the hands of that grain merchant, has long become a non-performing asset, surely very happy to get rid of it.
After all, there are not many wrongdoers.
But out of not wanting to offend Luo Nan, the young police officer, Lewis still kindly reminded, “Sir, this villa is said to have asked the priest in the church to look at it, but it didn’t solve the problem, do you want to reconsider?”
Luo Nan smiled, “It’s fine, I’ve already thought about it.”
Hearing Luo Nan say that, Lewis shut his mouth – he had done his duty to inform.
By the next day, the fixer found Luo Nan again.
The seller agreed!
So with Lewis pulling the strings, Ronan met with the seller in town and signed the purchase contract.
The terms were exactly as he intended.
After both parties signed the contract, the big-bellied grain merchant was obviously relieved and squeezed out a greasy smile to shake hands with Luo Nan: “Congratulations.”
Luo Nan felt that he was congratulating himself for getting rid of a piece of his heart!
But it didn’t matter.
After the grain merchant left, Luo Nan paid a commission to Lewis and added an extra reward of one gold pound.
The broker smiled, “Thank you sir, whatever you need in the future, just come to me!”
After sending Lewis away, Luo Nan rode the bicycle he just bought and left the city for his new residence.
The bike he bought was made by a local workshop, the craftsmanship wasn’t considered superb, but the materials used were solid and the structure was reliable, a load of several hundred kilograms at a time was no problem.
The price of this bicycle was not cheap, it cost Luo Nan 1 gold pound and 3 silver dollars.
The bicycle in this world was not fundamentally different from the bicycle in Luo Nan’s previous life, it was just a difference in appearance.
He drove along the country road towards the southeast and soon rode on a gravel road that led to the highlands.
After a journey of about twenty minutes, Luo Nan smoothly found this vacation villa located on the sea-facing cliffs.
There was no one in the villa, and except for the sea-facing side, the rest of the place was all enclosed with an iron fence, with the lawn and flower beds greatly exceeding the house building.
Most importantly, the view here was extremely wide.
To the east is the vast deep blue ocean, to the north can overlook the entire Rande City and the harbor, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, just like the existence of an outdoor paradise.
The outer iron gate of the villa was tightly closed, and Luo Nan used the key to open the lock.
The villa was not guarded, and it felt a bit eerie after entering, especially when Luo Nan pushed open the door and entered the hall of the house, an air of coldness greeted him.
Luo Nan raised an eyebrow and quietly stimulated his spiritual energy to protect his body.
Currently, his spiritual energy had already stepped into the level of the second ring, which was enough to combat some low-level mysteries.
There was indeed some sort of weirdness inside this villa.
But Luo Nan was undaunted!
