After lunch, I went back to the classroom, wrote a fake note, put it on the desk, packed my bag, and left the classroom.

Su Rou was already waiting for me outside, carrying a flat yellow army satchel, probably with an empty lunch box inside.

“Sanwa, I said you’re not farting with your pants off? You’re writing a fake note and climbing over the wall.” Su Rou yelled at me as soon as he saw me. In his opinion, skipping class is skipping class, so just walk away. If you need to write a fake note, just walk out the front door.

“The teacher hasn’t approved it yet, I just left the podium, I’m too lazy to explain to the doorman.” I casually replied, I’m actually afraid of trouble, the less I have to explain to one person, the less I have to explain to one person.

“Look at your popularity, you can’t even find someone to write a fake note for you, but with your pretty face, you can just find a girl to do it for you, right?” Su Rou said with a smirk.

I was too lazy to answer him with words, so I kicked him in the butt.

Su Rou took me to a crooked-necked tree behind the dormitory. Then he bit his bag and climbed up with his fat body swaying. He then climbed up the wall, stepping on the crooked-necked tree.

Once he was on the wall, he proudly told me, “See? I’m flexible, right? I’m not bragging, but I’m the one who bent the tree over the wall.”

I didn’t bother to answer him. I just hung on to the tree with one hand and easily climbed up the tree. I then jumped on the tree and used the force to stand on the wall.

Su Rou’s face immediately fell: “Damn it, Sanwa, don’t be so insulting.”

I smiled smugly, “Brother, I’ve practiced, and then I jumped off the wall. Su Rou hung on the wall, then slid against the wall and slid off the wall as well. It was just a bit awkward, and as soon as he hit the ground, he sat down with a loud ‘thud,’ and then before he could even sit down, he fell flat on his back.

“Mistake, hehe, mistake.” Su Rou’s face was quite thick.

I got used to it and pulled him up, saying, “Let’s go.”

Guo Er’s home was on the market square, not too far away, but not too close either. It was about twenty minutes away. I was walking down the road when I took something out of my bag and threw it to Su Rou.

It was a triangle-shaped talisman.

“What is it?” Su Rou didn’t see clearly, but when he saw me throw it to him, he hurriedly caught it in his hand.

“What could it be? A talisman.”

“What does this talisman do?” Su Rou often came to the mountains to find me. Knowing that old man Jiang could draw all kinds of strange talismans, each with a different function, he asked about the function.

“It’s just a general talisman to ward off evil spirits. If Guo Er really has something on him, it’s also an evil spirit, so it can ward it off a little.” I explained to Su Rou.

“Did Master Jiang draw it?” Su Rou asked, while stuffing it into his bosom.

“I drew it.” After all these years on this mountain, my skills are still far from those of my master. According to my master, if it weren’t for my strong natural intuition and my ability to practice, especially learning secret arts, I would not be able to draw a real effective talisman on my own.

However, even so, I have only been able to draw two or three kinds of talismans so far, such as the simplest talisman for warding off evil spirits, the talisman for warding off evil spirits, and the talisman for warding off evil spirits, which has a very low success rate for me. That kind of talisman is for warding off minor illnesses. If you wear it, for example, when everyone around you has a cold, you won’t catch it.

The talismans I draw are not as effective as those of the old man Jiang, and the difference in power is there, but they still have some effect.

As soon as she heard that I had drawn it, her expression changed. She had originally wanted to put the talisman in her bosom, but now she just casually put it in her pocket.

“I thought it was Master Jiang who drew it. It’s really a treasure. It turns out to be a piece of junk drawn by you.” He said, and he still didn’t think I was ‘cool’ enough. He also asked in a very insecure manner, “I said, Sanwa, you can also block it with your talisman, right? Don’t block it all at once. I don’t want to become like Guo Er.”

My dissatisfaction had reached a critical point. I was still a teenager, and I was afraid that others would say that I was incompetent. I didn’t say anything, grabbed Su Rou, and took the talisman out of his pocket. I said, “Okay, if you don’t want it, I don’t want to give it to you.”

“Oh, Sanwa, San’er, San’e, San’e, I’m sorry, okay? Give it to me. It’s raining, I don’t have an umbrella, I can’t even have a suit, I can’t run in the rain naked, can I?” Then, the crispy meat snatched the talisman back.

Then he took me in his arms and said, “Sanwa, if I didn’t believe in your abilities, would I have come with you on this trip? Don’t be stingy, don’t be stingy!”

I felt a little better, and after arguing with Su Rou all the way, I had unknowingly arrived at Guo Er’s house.

Su Rou was about to go in, but I stopped him and said, “Don’t be so impulsive, okay? Don’t you need a reason to go to someone’s house?”

“I’m not unacquainted with Guo Er. Just say you’re visiting him in the hospital. His family won’t remember who’s in our group.” Then Su Rou pulled me over and said, “Sanwa, I really treat you like a brother. If you came here, no one else would know, but I would. You’ve only learned for two days, and you’re itching to try your skills here. I’m putting my life in your hands. I’m a true friend, aren’t I?”

I looked at Su Rou and my face turned red. To be honest, Su Rou was right. I said, “You read too many novels, right? The plot of the novel is all over me. What is the meaning of trying to show off your skills and risking your life to accompany the gentleman? You are afraid.”

“Hey, hey, hey… that Eagle Shooting is really good.” Su Rou casually said, and the two of them stopped talking. Su Rou went to knock on Guo Er’s door.

After knocking on the door for a long time, a person finally came to open the door. I looked and saw that it was Guo Er’s 11-year-old daughter.

“Do you know me? I’m your brother, Su Rou.” Su Rou is a natural charmer. He laughed and reached out to pinch the little girl’s face to show affection. But then he thought, “She’s 11 years old. Isn’t that a bit too forward?” He withdrew his hand and rummaged in his dirty, broken school bag. After a long time, he didn’t find anything.

“Oh, brother was going to bring you a candy, but I forgot it in the classroom.”

This Su Rou is so thick-skinned. He doesn’t have any candy. If he did, he would have eaten it. But I didn’t want to argue with this little girl. I remembered that when I returned from the county seat, my mother stuffed a bag of snacks into my school bag, saying that she sold them to students on weekdays and asked me to bring some. I just randomly felt around and took out a handful of candy and gave it to Su Rou.

“Hey, it was in you!” Su Rou secretly hid some in his pocket and gave the rest to the little girl.

The little girl’s expression was originally haggard and wary, but when she saw the candy, her expression finally relaxed a little. In addition, Su Rou often helped Guo Er run errands and had been to Guo Er’s house several times, so the little girl was still a little familiar with Su Rou.

“What are you doing here?” The girl’s braids were messy, and her voice was a little hoarse, probably because she had been crying.

“I heard that your father is not well, so I came to see him.” Su Rou made a sad face.

The little girl tilted her head and thought about it for a while, probably because of the candy, she let us in.

As the little girl closed the door, I put my arm around Su Rou’s shoulders and said, “Give it to me. I’ve seen it all.”

“What did you see?”

“How can you do that? I gave the little girl some candy, and you just took it?

“I was going to ask you, you didn’t give me any good food, I thought you were my brother.” Su Rou was furious.

“Who said I wasn’t going to give it to you? I was going to give it to you after school. I’ll give it to the little girl later. Look at her, she’s so pitiful.” I whispered.

“Okay, okay, you’re so compassionate. Tell me the truth, do you usually have a comic book face and trick girls behind their backs? I heard that many girls in school secretly like you.”

I was furious. I was about to give Su Rou a couple of slaps, but then I noticed that the little girl was standing in front of us and asked, “Why aren’t you going in?”

Only then did Su Rou and I realize what had happened. We looked up and were immediately stunned by the sight in the courtyard.
