Chapter 5: The Terrifying Guo Er

The yard was a mess. Farmers used to build chicken coops and dog kennels in their yards, and they also liked to plant flowers and vegetables in the yard to make it look beautiful.

But what does this yard look like? The flowers and vegetables have been trampled all over. There was originally a tree in the yard, but now even some of the branches have been broken off, leaving a little bark attached, hanging on the tree, looking even more desolate.

If this were all, it would not be enough to cause such a shock to me and Su Rou. What was even more shocking was that there were still some bloodstains in the yard, large and round, some of which were shocking. Not far from the bloodstains, there were the bodies of two chickens and one duck!

I walked up to her and said, “It’s okay. This is a disease. Who doesn’t get sick? Once it’s cured, it’s okay.” I said this, but in my heart I was secretly sighing that Guo Er was really doing evil, making the child suffer this “bitter fruit.” If things were allowed to continue, who knows what would happen.

The Guo family stopped talking. They probably didn’t want to entertain guests after seeing Guo Er in such a state, so they nodded and pretended to understand.

Guo Dongliang must have been feeling depressed, so he said to Su Rou, “My father is in this state, and my family is afraid to cook. I’m hungry too, but I don’t mind being hungry. I just hope my father doesn’t go crazy again.”

Su Rou hurriedly took two candies out of his pocket and handed them to Guo Dongliang, saying, “Have a candy, it’ll help.”

Guo Dongliang was probably afraid of his father’s appearance, so he threw the candy away with a loud cry and jumped away. Guo Er’s wife, mother, and father also rushed in to hold him down.

But Guo Er was too strong, and he broke free in a few moves. He fell to the ground with a thud, and the fall was very real.

But he didn’t care. He wriggled all over the place, crawled to the sugar that Guo Dongliang had thrown on the ground, and didn’t care about the dirt. He licked it off the ground and sucked it into his mouth, then looked satisfied.

I broke into a cold sweat and thought of a way to mobilize the power of my whole body. I gathered my qi in my lower abdomen and shouted, “Guo Jianjun (Guo Er’s real name)!”

Guo Er suddenly turned his head and looked at me. I and he undoubtedly looked at each other. This glance made me feel creepy and I unconsciously took a step back.
